Shopping Centres

Porter's Engineering has provided civil engineering services in WA to over 22 large shopping centres in Perth. Our services have included advising on parking and traffic problems, reviewing and reporting on parking/traffic conditions (especially for development approvals) and advising and organising civil works including design, documentation and contract administration for roads, pavement, lines and signage, drainage, sewer and water. Typical centres include:

Schools and Colleges

Our extensive range of engineering consulting projects for schools and colleges has seen us involved in the planning, design and construction phases.

Methodist Ladies College - Corry Lynn Road drop off lane and parking; Stirling Highway main entry and internal access upgrading.


Albany Senior High School - Relocation of public roads; development of new parking and drop off areas; drainage of new oval and environs.


Australian Technical Colleges (Maddington and Armadale) – Servicing of new developments including site drainage, traffic management and car parking.


All Saints' College – Traffic impact assessment and parking study – design and document new central car park and access; design and document frontage road and parking upgrade.


St Brigid's College - Traffic and parking study – review of new access proposals; design, documentation and contract administration of new access and internal roads incorporating major drainage works and retaining walls.


Irene McCormack College – Traffic impact assessment – design and documentation of new access link on major road.


Recreational Facilities

Melville Hockey Turf – planning, design, documentation and contract management for the new state-of-the-art artificial wet turf at Morris Buzzacott Reserve in Kardinya.
The facility remains the only local community club turf in Western Australia.


Bunbury Hockey Turf – civil design and contract management for the removal of an old sand-filled turf and construction of a state-of-the- art artificial wet turf at the Bunbury Hockey Centre at Hay Park.


Aquinas College Turf – assisted the Aquinas Hockey Club with the design and construction of a state-of-the-art artificial playing surface at Aquinas College. The facility has received high commendation from the hockey fraternity.


Carramar Oval – undertook the design and construction management of the new combined school/community-use grass playing fields associated with the Carramar Primary School.
