Porter Consulting Engineers were excited to attend the official opening ceremony of the Guildford Grammar Foundation Hockey Turf. The ceremony was followed by an exhibition match between The Headmaster’s XI and the school’s 1st XI.
Porters involvement included design development, detailed design, tender review and construction supervision for a synthetic hockey field turf and associated facilities. The turf meets Federation of International Hockey Standards and uses the same surface as the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Our design incorporated many innovative ideas and solutions, including LED lighting and below ground irrigation cannons.
Our team has extensive experience in recreational and synthetic turf projects and are familiar with the latest products and standards. In addition to Guildford, Porters have been involved with synthetic turfs in Bunbury, Guilderton, Melville, Salter Point, UWA and Willetton and our work in the Sport and Recreation area continues with involvement in the development of synthetic turf and sporting facilities at Bruce Rock, Mount Claremont, and Warwick plus feasibility and design development assistance in Bentley, Chittering, Huntingdale and South Lake.
