Porter Consulting Engineers were appointed by the City of Belmont to provide specialist consultancy services to undertake the detailed design, tender and construction administration of the netball court redevelopment at Wilson Park, Rivervale. These works included court resurfacing to provide reworked basecourse, asphalt surfacing and an acrylic playing surface with painted lines for netball.
Our scope included design, documentation and specifications as well as providing tender assistance, technical advice and inspections during construction phase of both courts and lighting at the sporting precinct.
Porters have a detailed understanding of construction related constraints and drew on this knowledge to assist the team during the planning and preparation of the various designs.
During the documentation phase for the netball court redevelopment, Porters prepared a detailed construction specification in conjunction with the City’s project team, which fed into the designs. Porters also ensured efficient designs were aligned with the City’s maintenance regime.
Having completed many recreational facilities, Porters understand the users experience is of critical importance to the success of the project. The quality of finishes are all key to the success of these projects and we incorporated these into our designs and value add options for the City of Belmont.
